Popover Party
Popovers are as close to God as food can get in my book. Not only are they heavenly, buttery pillows
of joy but they only require four ingredients. Had I known that earlier I would've started making
these back fat inducing snacks years ago. Back fat aside, these things are bad ass and I
can't wait to make them again and again and again. And again.
Recipe from BLT Steak Restaurant HERE
(Pardon the mediocre iphone pics - I was way too excited to capture any decent ones.)

Beauty Dream Team (plus the coach)
The Dream Team 1. Lancome Flash Bronzer Anti-Age $38 - Available here If you want to add just a little bit of color to your face during the winter months, here's your tool. With SPF 15 and Vitamin E this is the best self-tanner I have found that is *subtle*, works quickly (30 min) and doesn't break the bank. 2. Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream $18 - Available from Amazon This cream shouldn't require any introduction as it's over 70 years old and has been in about every makeup artists' and editors' bag for the last decade. I use it for eyelids, lips and on dry knuckles but, as made evident by models around the globe, its usefulness is truly boundless. 3. Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer $52 - Available from Sephora or Amazon If you haven't hopped on the primer bandwagon yet, you're late and it's time. Primer makes everything that follows look so. much. better. It's worth the extra step (and swipe of the CC.) Hourglass' is true to its name. It feels like a silky veil over your face that evens your skin tone as well. Genius. 4. ReVive Moisturizing Renewal Cream $100 - $175 (depending where you buy) - Available here I was opposed to the La Mer and La Prairie moisturizing spending sprees that had been become ubiquitous until I fell victim to this one. Never one to believe "your skin will look different in two weeks", when my skin DID look radiant I really had to think "what is responsible for this???" This is the best moisturizer I have ever tried, hands down, and there have been dozens upon dozens. 5. Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo w Oatmilk $18 - Available here I bought five of these last summer in France that's how dedicated I am to Klorane (I recommend everyone do the same as they are about 5 euros over there.) Volume and fragrance are just the added bonuses to having "I washed it this morning" hair. 6. Clarins Eye Revive Beauty Flash $46 - Available at Sephora Without this I would never escape the brutality of the morning after a night I don't remember. Puffiness, circles, lines: reduced down to almost nothing. Its purpose is literally defined as to "minimize the appearance of fatigue." God bless you Clarins. |

Recent Off Duty Favorites
Miranda Kerr is quickly approaching the reigning queen of off duty style, Ms. Rosie, as the most fashionable model in my book. Don't get me wrong. Rosie gets it right almost every SINGLE time, but it's nice to see a new mommy looking so confident and effortless. Plus, her #1 accessory has the best cheeks ever.

Cheese Wiz
Cheese from my last trip to Paris…. This INCREDIBLE cheese tray was the size of an XL NY pizza and was the fifth and final course at a truly amazing prix fixe dinner at Le Comptoir du Relais. This restaurant was a little known gem then and has now become a staple on Paris "It" lists, which is sort of a bummer... Regardless it is a phenomenal restaurant with the best cheese course I have ever had.
The chef at Le Comptoir is a wiz, indeed.

Watch the video below (I'm fairly certain they didn't even
have a website when i went in 2010.....sigh)
